When we fail to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect, we all suffer.

Since 1977, the Child Abuse Council has been working towards its mission to build stronger families in the Tampa Bay region through child abuse prevention and family education programs. Through our programs, parents receive hands-on training, support and the information needed to face the many challenges and pleasures of raising healthy, happy and well adjusted children.

Prevention and education programs are designed to reach out to both parents at-risk for violent behavior, and parents who just need a helping hand. Services such as home visits, workshops, support groups and developmental playgroups to engage families early on to help parents enhance their parenting skills, as well as their children’s physical, social and intellectual development.

As an accredited agency, we operate in accordance with nationally defined best practice standards and consistently strive to deliver superior services to our children and families. Each year, our highly trained and educated staff strengthens more and more families throughout the county providing valuable and measurable services that help children grow and reach their fullest potential.

Together, we can prevent the tragic cycle of child abuse and neglect in this community. Please call today to find out how you can help.
